Its Monday morning and Im sitting here sipping on my Chamomile tea trying to stay warm on this freezing wintery day in Melbourne and the words from one of my favourite Proclaimers song keeps spinning around in my head…
Are you happy now? Say yeah, yeah, yeah
Are you really happy now? Say yeah, yeah, yeah
Tell me where it hurts, it hurts there and there and there
Adverbs and nouns, juicy and round
Spinning around in the air
Are we happy now, and if so what makes us happy or unhappy? I know I have my ups and downs, and when lm down or feeling sad, putting on an album by the boys always lifts my spirits and l mean always. Their unique songs, folksy sound and lyrics have a way of turning even the worst situation around. On the flip side, listening to them belt out a song (especially .. Hate My Love ) when lm feeling happy makes me feel like l can conquer the world and that as you can imagine has the most monumental effect on a person. So who needs medication or Alcohol when you have the Proclaimers at your finger tips, ok well maybe one glass of wine preferably red will also do the trick.
Craig & Charlie definitely have a way of changing your life even if it is indirectly, their music has stood the test of time, they sound just as good if not better than when they first hit the scene in the 80s, just like that bottle of fine red wine the boys get better and better with age. As the years pass us by, husbands come and go, our children grow and make their own way in the world, the boys and their music will always be with us and for that, all of your fans around the world and especially me, thank you.
Looking forward to any updates you can give us on the boys possibly touring Australia again.
Well written l can see you love the lads kudos to you kitty
Great job for the work you have done with the website. And yes music soothes the soul, thank goodness for great music.
Putting on their music also lifts my day.
